PRIVACY
Know what the service records—and what it is designed never to know.
Everkeep’s intended privacy model separates custody metadata from the encrypted content on your media.
Information Everkeep expects to collect
- Account and contact details needed for enrollment, notices, billing and returns.
- Physical media records such as custody ID, manufacturer serial number, seal status, intake photographs and storage location codes.
- Custody events, access requests, inspection records, trigger instructions and communication history.
- Payment records handled through the selected payment provider; final provider and data flow are not yet confirmed.
Information Everkeep is designed not to collect
- Your encryption password, recovery key or plaintext files.
- File names, previews, content categories or storage-capacity usage as a basis for pricing.
- A cloud copy of the contents on your customer-owned media.
How records are used
Custody records support intake, physical security, notices, access, billing, legal compliance and the documented return or destruction of media. Access should be limited to authorized operating roles and retained only as required by the final service and legal obligations.
Facility monitoring
Physical security systems may record controlled-area video, alarms, access events, inspection results and environmental readings. They protect the storage environment and are not connected to customer media.
Your choices
The final policy will explain how to request access to, correction of or deletion of eligible personal information, subject to custody, financial, safety and legal recordkeeping requirements.
